    Benefits for Taxi Drivers! Transportation Bureau Provides Free Legal, Financial, and Healthcare Consulting Services starting from November Print

    【Kaohsiung News】According to the Transportation Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government, a pilot “Taxi Drivers Care Service Center Project” was launched to relieve stresses of taxi drivers from legal, financial, or health problems, which has received positive feedbacks. Therefore, the Bureau established two Taxi Drivers Care Service Centers at “Open University of Kaohsiung” and “Human Rights Learning Studio in Kaohsiung MRT Formosa Boulevard Station (B1) ”to provide consulting services for legal aid, debt clearance, and health care on every third week of each month from now until September 2020. Taxi drivers are welcome to make phone reservations!
    Cheng Yung-Hsiang, Director General of the Transportation Bureau pointed out that the 6-day trial, from October 28 to  November 2, 2019, provided free consultation for taxi drivers on the topics of legal aid, financial debt relief, and health screening. There were a total of 24 taxi drivers participated in the activity, consulting lawyers or experts about their problems at work or in lives. The overall consulting process was easy and cheerful, and the results were productive.
    The Director General, Cheng Yung-Hsiang, noted that the Taxi Drivers Care Service Center Project was co-organized by the Open University of Kaohsiung, and will be held on every third week of each month from November 2019 to September 2020 at “Open University of Kaohsiung” and ”Human Rights Learning Studio in Kaohsiung MRT Formosa Boulevard Station (B1) .” Lawyers, financial experts, and medical scholars were invited to provide consultation. The next round will be held from November 18 to 23, 2019, in a total of 6 days.
